Why a Fall Check Matters in Missouri
Missouri winters bring hard freezes, snow and ice, and much shorter days. Your solar system keeps working through all of it, but winter is a hard time to find and fix a problem. Snow and ice add weight to the panels and racking, and cold snaps make wiring and connections expand and contract. Leaves, sticks and other debris that piled up over the summer and fall can sit on the array or under its edges. Shorter days also give your system less time to produce each day, so a fault that goes unnoticed in November can keep production down all winter. If your monitoring app has been showing alerts, an inverter light has changed color, or production looks lower than it did last fall, now is the time to have the system looked at, before roofs turn icy and snow-covered.
