Athena Solar is Missouri's solar repair, recovery, and installation specialists — built for customers who need practical solar help: repair, recovery, remove and reinstall, battery backup, and installations designed to last.

Our Story

Built on real solar experience since 2010.

Athena Solar was founded by Rodney Pitford, a solar professional with roots in the industry dating back to 2010. Rodney originally founded OTG Solar in 2010 and helped build it into a successful solar business before selling the company in October 2018. He then ran the solar division for the new owner, and when he left, he launched Athena Solar in 2019 with a focus on quality workmanship, honest customer service, and long-term solar system support.

Today, Athena Solar specializes in solar installation, solar repair, remove and reinstall services, battery backup systems, and helping homeowners maximize the value and performance of their solar investments.

Unlike many companies that only service systems they installed themselves, Athena Solar regularly works on systems installed by other contractors and helps customers solve difficult problems that others cannot. With more than 16 years of solar industry experience, Athena Solar brings practical field knowledge, troubleshooting expertise, and a commitment to doing the job right.
